Keka is for when you need to create, not open, an archive: 7z/zip/tar compression with AES-256 encryption, volume splitting, and exclusion of junk like .DS_Store. Free from the developer's site; the App Store version costs a token support fee.

Why is Keka paid on the App Store and free on the site?
It is a way to support the developer: the builds are identical and the App Store purchase is a voluntary donation. Homebrew installs the free build from the site.
Keka or The Unarchiver?
If you only open other people's archives, The Unarchiver is enough. If you pack, encrypt, and split them, Keka. Many keep both: one for double-click extraction, one for creating.
